Mr. Ongaro practices nationwide in the areas of immigration, DUI and criminal defense, personal injury, and divorce-related matters. After having worked in very large and medium-sized law firms for much of his professional career, he opened Salvador Ongaro Law Offices. In doing so, Mr. Ongaro applied the best practices of larger firms and incorporated them into a law firm offering a more personalized and specific client experience.

Mr. Ongaro first moved to the Phoenix metro area almost 50 years ago. He is originally from Hermosillo, Mexico and has become a naturalized citizen himself. However, it was the desire to provide clients with better legal representation than the norm that drew him to practice in the areas of immigration and personal injury. Thousands of satisfied clients later, that philosophy continues to drive him to this day.

Mr. Ongaro has been actively involved with the Arizona State Bar for more than a decade. He served for several years on the State Bar's Rules of Professional Conduct committee, drafting several ethics opinions during that time. He has also served on the editorial board of Arizona Attorney magazine, the State Bar's monthly publication for member lawyers, been a presenter of the State Bar's Professionalism course for new lawyers, and has presented various State Bar CLE programs. Outside of the State Bar, Mr. Ongaro has undertaken many community service leadership roles, including serving for several years as President of Los Abogados, the Hispanic Bar Association of Arizona, as well as serving on the Board of the Hispanic National Bar Association, and the Maricopa County Bar Association. Mr. Ongaro has been involved with countless non-profit organizations, offering his resources and services to their various different missions including immigrant rights, children's issues, domestic and wild animal rescue, drug and alcohol abuse education, and cancer research.

Mr. Ongaro is an alumnus of Arizona State University and the University of Pennsylvania Law School. While in law school, he was elected and served as principal Executive Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. After law school, he completed a federal clerkship in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Mr. Ongaro is a true polyglot and student of languages who values all cultures and peoples.  He is a native-level Spanish and English speaker and is fluent in Portuguese and French. Mr. Ongaro also understands written and spoken Italian.
